    Update #64

    May 5, 2018

    Dear AMFA Brothers and Sisters:

We wanted to provide you with an update on the status of our Agreement in Principle (AIP) with Southwest Airlines (SWA). The Company assembled all of our previously tentatively agreed sections into one full document in the days following the achievement of the AIP.

As you can imagine, the line-by-line review of the full document in connection with negotiating notes and history was a time-consuming process. However, your Negotiating Committee recently completed its first review of the AIP, and on Monday April 30, 2018, we sent our edits back to SWA for their review. If the Company agrees to our edits and has no additional changes, it is possible we could announce a Tentative Agreement (TA) in short order. If, however, the Company has a significant amount of edits to the document we returned, the finalization of the TA could take additional time.

Once we have a final cover-to-cover TA, the document will be sent to you from Southwest via your SWAlife email. The Committee will give you a week to review the TA and will then commence the roadshow. The TA ratification referendum will start after the conclusion of the roadshow. Further referendum details will be provided after a TA is reached.

Please do not hesitate to contact your AMFA representatives if you have additional questions.

    Sincerely,

    Your Negotiating Committee
