Workforce issues, safety and security, our outsourcing crisis, and ever-increasing new technology make one thing certain: the aircraft mechanic and related craft must be at the table when the U.S. Congress makes decisions that affect us. We can’t assume or expect anyone else will be our advocate on Capitol Hill.
AMFA political action committee (PAC), established in July of this year by AMFA’s National Executive Council (NEC), is dedicated to mobilizing mechanics for change. The NEC unanimously decided that to be the best advocates for our profession we must be bigger playersin the political arena, and AMFA PAC is the next evolution for us to grow our non-partisan political imprint and gain political clout.
AMFA PAC tackles issues that uniquely affect our craft and is the sole PAC dedicated to aircraft mechanics in Washington, DC. Our PAC helps to support U.S. House of Representatives and Senators who promote our most important issues—individuals who understand the importance of our work, who care about the future of our craft, who listen to our concerns, and who vote our way. In just a few years we believe we will become one of the largest and most influential aviation PACs in America.
But, we need you on the team. Please take this opportunity to join AMFA PAC today! Membership starts at just $10 a month—that’s less than a few cups of coffee or Netflix subscription. Joining is easy: visit www.amfapac.orgtext mechanics to 888.444.8774 or scan the QR code below. By joining AMFA PAC, you are investing in the future of our craft and advancing our legislative agenda. Every member that joins this year will be recognized as a Founding Member, a special designation that you will maintain throughout the lifetime of your membership.
It’s time to head to the toolbox and address our craft’s current and future issues by selecting the most effective tool we have. AMFA PAC is our tool to fix Washington, and with your support we can best defend our profession.
