Attached, you will find the dispositions from our Bylaws Committee, which has recently reviewed several proposed amendments to our bylaws. In accordance with the procedures outlined in Article XI, Section 2D of our bylaws, we are distributing the list of proposed amendments one week prior to the scheduled Bylaws meeting.

Each proposal has been carefully considered, and recommendations have been made in accordance with Article XI, Sections 2C through 2G of the Local 4 bylaws. These sections mandate a thorough review to ensure all proposed amendments align with the AMFA Constitution and applicable legal standards. Proposals that passed this review have been compiled and attached for your consideration.

Meeting and Post-Meeting Process:

• At the meeting, the Bylaws Committee will present each proposed amendment along with their recommendations (Article XI, Section 2E).
• Members in attendance will have the opportunity to discuss and amend each proposal (Article XI, Section 2F). To be accepted, an amendment must receive a simple majority of affirmative votes cast.
• Following the meeting, the amended proposals will be submitted to the entire membership for ratification via mail-out ballot. An amendment must receive at least a two-thirds majority vote to be adopted (Article XI, Section 2G).
