AMFA/SWA AMT Contract Proposal Submission Notice
In accordance with Article XXIII of the AMFA National Constitution, Local 4 is now accepting contract proposals for the upcoming 2026 negotiations with Southwest Airlines covering Aircraft Mechanics Technicians.
How to Access and Submit Proposal Forms
Forms may be accessed in two ways:
- Online Submission (preferred): Submit your proposal directly by clicking the following link:

- Paper Form: A printable proposal form can be found under the Forms --- PDF Forms tab on the Local 4 Website. Completed paper forms may be emailed to secretary@amfa4.com.
Submission Deadline
All proposals must be submitted no later than February 26, 2026. Proposals received after this date will not be accepted.
Next Steps
- The Local 4 Proposal Evaluation Committee will review all submissions, combine similar proposals, and assign tracking numbers.
- The finalized package will be returned to the Local 4 President by March 31, 2026.
- In April 2026, Local 4 will hold a special meeting to endorse proposals before forwarding them to AMFA National.
- After all, four Locals (4, 11, 18, and 32) complete their endorsement process, AMFA National will compile a systemwide Proposal Survey containing all endorsed proposals. This survey will be mailed to the membership for prioritization, and the results will determine which proposals advance to the Negotiating Committee.
