FMT Contract Proposal Submission Notice 

In accordance with Article XXIII of the AMFA National Constitution, Local 4 is now accepting contract proposals for the upcoming 2026 negotiations with Southwest Airlines covering Facilities Maintenance Technicians.

How to Access and Submit Proposal Forms
Members may submit contract proposals using the attached PDF Contract Proposal Form.
The form is also available on the Local 4 website at www.amfa4.com under Forms → PDF Forms.

For reference, the current FMT PDF Contract version is located on amfa4.com under the Members tab, then Contract & Bylaws. Completed PDF proposal forms may be emailed to proposal@amfa4.com

Submission Deadline
All proposals must be submitted no later than April 10, 2026. Proposals received after this date will not be accepted.

Next Steps

• The Local 4 Proposal Evaluation Committee will review all submissions, combine similar proposals, and assign tracking numbers.
• The finalized package will be returned to the Local 4 President by May 8, 2026.
• In May 2026, Local 4 will hold a special meeting to endorse proposals before forwarding them to AMFA National.
• After all, four Locals (4, 11, 18, and 32) complete their endorsement process, AMFA National will compile a systemwide Proposal Survey containing all endorsed proposals. This survey will be mailed to the membership for prioritization, and the results will determine which proposals advance to the Negotiating Committee.
