Professional Standards Committee — Nominations
Local 4 is seeking members from all stations and bid locations to serve on the Professional Standards Committee.
The committee is responsible for:
- Addressing professional or ethical issues involving Association members.
- Resolving misconduct affecting the safety or standards of our members or craft.
- Settling disputes within the Association or with other employee groups that impact safety and standards.
- Handling conflicts that could damage the reputation of our profession.
- Promoting high standards of professional conduct through communication within the Association.
The committee will work in coordination with Local 4 Safety & Standards Chairman Kevin Stauske.
Professional Standards Committees within AMFA have historically resolved disputes internally, avoiding company involvement and formal discipline. Company intervention often leads to extended grievance processes without addressing root causes.
We encourage members with strong dispute-resolution skills, or those interested in developing them, to volunteer. Training will be provided for selected members.
Nominations must be submitted electronically to Local 4 by 1700 CST on February 28, 2026. Forms and submission instructions are available at www.amfa4.com under the “Forms” tab → “Online Nominations Form.”
