NOMINATION NOTICE

2026 LOCAL 4 OFFICER ELECTION

September 10, 2026

AMFA Local 4 is now accepting nominations for the following positions:

Vice President

Treasurer

Southwest Airline Representative (ALR)

Sun Country Airline Representative (ALR)

The responsibilities of these positions are detailed in Article XVIII of the AMFA Constitution and Article III of the Local 4 Bylaws. These documents are available on the AMFA Local 4 website under the “Member Resources” tab.

The elected officers will serve a two-year term beginning in January 2027 and ending in January 2029, in accordance with Article IV of the Local 4 Bylaws.

To be eligible for nomination, a member must be an active member in good standing and meet all other applicable requirements outlined in the AMFA Constitution. 

NOMINATION DEADLINE

5:00 PM CST — September 20, 2026

Nominations must be submitted in writing or electronically to Local 4 secretary no later than the deadline above.

Nomination forms and submission instructions can be found on the Local 4 website under the “Forms” tab, then “Online Nomination Form.” You can also click here to access the nomination form directly.

All nominees must verify their candidacy by completing and returning a Willingness to Serve Form, which will be provided following the close of the nomination period.

Additional information regarding the election process, including the ballot package mailing date and ballot count date, will be provided following the close of nominations.

If only one eligible candidate is nominated for a position, no election will be held for that position, and the candidate will be declared elected unopposed.
